From 30 June to 2 July 2026, ClaimSov members participated in the Congress of the Association Française de Sciences Politiques (AFSP) in Lyon. They presented their research in the thematic section “Sovereignty in the digital age: reframing and perspectives in a fragmented world”, organised by Françoise Daucé and Benjamin Loveluck from our partner project DIGISOV.

In the first of the two panels that constituted the section, Riccardo Nanni discussed Chinese normative influence in ASEAN countries through online content, while Marguerite Borelli conceptualised digital sovereignty on the basis of content control.

In the second panel, Marie Garin presented a critique of data centre projects in France through the article she coauthored with Félix Tréguer and Francesca Musiani, who in the same week represented Claimsov at the IAMCR conference in Galway, Ireland. Finally, Ksenia Ermoshina presented a panoramic and a critique of digital sovereignty indexes.

The two panels were discussed by Romain Badouard and Séverine Arsène respectively and featured the presence of Héloïse Fioleau, Charles Thibout, Clément Le Ludec and Olessia Kirtchik.
