On 15 October 2026, ClaimSov member Dr. Julia Pohle gave a keynote at “On/Off”, the eighth kulturBdigital conference. The conference is the annual meeting of Berlin’s cultural sector on digital technologies, organised by the Technologiestiftung Berlin and the Berlin Senate Department for Culture and Community.

This year the programme dealt with AI hype, digital strategies beyond short-term projects, alternatives to Big Tech platforms and the meaning of digital sovereignty. Julia turned her keynote into a round of a 1990s game show and debunked seven common myths around the term. Thereby she explained why the cultural sector’s digital dependencies are structural and cannot be solved by individual institutions alone and which questions we should focus on.
